The EQD website has thus far been my largest project. This site includes a main site, mobile site and internal employee portal. It was a great project to learn on, my biggest take-aways were on the methods in which I used Templates and Javascript. I had never even used JS before this point, so it really was an experience. This project was my first coding/design project in at least two years, and it was a blessing. I am particularly proud of the mobile site. Although the design is simple, I realized how beneficial the templates were, and I was able to complete the full design in less than a week.

Anye Mercy

Anye Mercy is a good friend of mine, and an amazing developer. I was just playing around with some designs one evening, and checked out her current website, and decided to whip up a new layout for her. This application is created in silverlight, and even comes with custom animated controls. I didn't however do any of the coding on this project, hoepfully she will have it online soon. I will link it at that point.

Aimee-Design | Silverlight Project

This site/application was created with Expression Blend, and Design. The controls sit on 1 page, taking extreme advantage of states within Blend to accomplish the feeling to different content pages. Since I only have a limited knowledge of .net, this project really tested me, but I am very proud of how well it worked out. I wanted to do more with the animations for each box, and create the feeling of a sketch being drawn within each one, but time constraints kept me from that. One day I may go back to this project and add that bit of flare.

Color A Pwny | Silverlight Project

Oh my, what can I say about Color a Pwny? Well, this was just a manifestation of my love for colorful cartoons, and ponies. I actually invisioned submitting this site as a resourse for a popular online game, called Howrse, where users can submit their own creations as graphics for horses. This application is Silverlight based, and took me about 2 weeks to get the general design and layout complete. Getting the site up and running took more time, but sometimes there are snags that you can't avoid. Take a test drive of the site, and submit an image of your pwny on it's facebook fan page. ^_^

Lynden Chamber of Commerce

This was the first site I created once I graduated college. I worked for a small company that had a bit of website design work to be done. I created photoshop layouts, and then they would be outsourced to finish the coding portion of the site. The turn around on this project was very quick, probably 2 days, with about 3 different layouts produced. This design was selected, and I believe is still being used on thier main site, although there were a lot of layout changes over the years, so I didn't include it as part of the portfolio.

Marietta Fire District 8

Similar to the above listing, this site was also an early early website design, which I didn't actually work on the code. The design idea was a simple 1 page layout which would be used for the entire site, where text could be placed in the lower right hand column, with a nav menu to the left. Pretty simple idea, and design.

YPO Connect Now

This print project was completed for YPO of Houston, for their Connect Now series of seminars. These were some very large posters, and the only problem I had with the project was exporting the large files for printing. There were a lot of revisions as well, but only minor copy changes, which pleased me. The speaker liked the designs so much, he actually requested to keep them for future use. At the time, I didn't have copies of any CS products, so I created the layouts in Expression Design. Once I got my copies of Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign, I finsihed the designs.

Dayton Zoo Poster Series

My Zoo Poster design series, although older, is one of my favorite projects. I loved the colors, and the creatures. They were created entirely in Illustrator, exculding the original handdrawings I created for the initial shapes of the animals. The background was redesigned recently to give the posters more of a trio feeling. This project is what started my love of vector illustration, and it has yet to die.

Hot LoX Packaging Design

This custom box, and illustration design was created again, in Illustrator entirely. The box itself when fully constructed has a slight twist to it, literally. What I really need to do is get some photographs of the box, but I don't have any right now. We'll just say coming soon!

NeedleFinder Analysis & Review

The NeedleFinder Web series is probably the longest running project I have. The application suite includes an Early Assesment Application, Linear Review Application, User & Management Application and Custom Icon Design and Controls. I designed the layout and icons based of a strict set of instructions, so in the end I guess I can't take too much of the credit. I did a full redesign of all the basic user controls this Decemeber, and it is still a work in progress, so I may have more updates to include later in the year.

Blizzcon Attire

These two designs were created for a gaming convention, and were very fun to create. The illustrations were completed in Expression Design, and I had them printed for the event. I don't really have much to say about them, other than the people who saw them at the con were all very impressed. The troll design was actually inspired by a picture of Leonardo, you know... the teenage mutant ninja turtle. ^_^ To be honest, before this set, I was nervous to draw clothing, but after desiging the two in full sets of armor, basic clothing doesn't seem to hard anymore.

Howrse Black Pearls

I was pretty thrilled to find out in the game, Howrse, you could design, and publish custom horse illustrations. Not only did you get to share your artwork with everyone, if they liked your artwork, they could choose to also use it! So, after learning this, I created an illustration that I would easily be able to customize to any color I pleased, and this was the result. I am partial to ponies.s
